Dancing On Ice winner Joe Swash reveals he’s hungover and LOST the trophy after boozing until 5am at wrap party
DANCING On Ice's Joe Swash revealed he lost his trophy after celebrating his win at the show's boozy wrap party.
Joe, 38, has gone from king of the jungle in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! to winning the ice skating show and partied until 5am with his fellow contestants last night.
The ex-EastEnders star and partner Alex Murphy beat favourite Perri Kiely and took home the trophy in the gripping finale.
And Joe admitted he felt a bit tender today after too much booze as he waited to take part in his first interview on ITV's This Morning following his win.
As he waited for his slot on the show, he shouted over to presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: "I'm hungover! How are you Phil?"
Phil then replied: "Coming up we'll be chatting to Dancing On Ice winner Joe Swash who won the trophy last night with Alex Murphy.
"Although we'll be talking about the fact that he's already lost it - in a minute."
Cheeky Joe grinned and later admitted he had no idea what he'd done with the trophy, but had been assured it had been found.
He said: "No we didn't find it. We have been told someone has found it. You'd think it was ours. But they give it to us and then they put it in a box for next year."
Following the chat, Joe dashed off to appear on Loose Women where his girlfriend Stacey Solomon works, though she was at home today.
He told Andrea McLean, Denise Welch, Linda Robson, and Carol McGiffin: "We went to the wrap party last night, didn't get to bed until 5!"
All four appeared stumped by the news, with John even seen saying "wow" to Jayne, with his mouth wide open as she turned to him.
Ashley also appeared to be confused by the turn of events, with the 31-year-old star close friends with finalist Perri.
The foursome all clapped in disbelief - with Joe's girlfriend Stacey Solomon and oldest son Harry spotted cheering in the crowd.
Proud Stacey also took to her Instagram page to pay touching tribute to her boyfriend after his win.
Fans at home were also unable to hide their disbelief, with some flocking to social media to claim that Perri, and his professional partner Vanessa Bauer, had been "robbed".
Perri braved a daring back flip on the ice during one of his final performances, with judge Chris also calling the star's Bolero "the best we've ever seen".
