Kate Ferdinand hated her ‘stumpy legs’ and became ‘obsessed’ with the gym after body dysmorphia battle
KATE Ferdinand has revealed she has struggled with a 15 year battle with body dysmorphia.
The 28-year-old, who is famed for her incredible figure, admitted she became “obsessed” with going to the gym because she didn’t love herself and hated her “stumpy legs”.
She told the : “I used to be obsessed with going to the gym. I feel like I had to go every day and if I didn't go then I'm not going to look good.”
These days Kate has learnt to accept her body and while some times it is still hard, she no longer puts so much pressure on herself.
Discussing how she saw herself in the past, the star said: “I had a really love-hate relationship with myself to look a certain way, to be a certain way.
“I wasn't seeing what everyone else was seeing so I'd pick loads of flaws in me and I was comparing myself to unrealistic people, like supermodels.

“I don't love my legs they're a bit stumpy. I was comparing my legs to a supermodel's legs and they're really never going to be the same.”
Kate’s life has completely changed in the last few years after marrying footballer Rio and becoming a step-mum to his three children Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and eight-year-old Tia.
As well as sharing her journey about becoming a parent, Kate also keeps fans up to date with her regular work outs.
She often keeps fit alongside her husband Rio at home with their personal trainer.
