KATE and Rio Ferdinand left fans baffled as they tucked into a 'hangover' Sunday Roast of chicken and potatoes - with macaroni cheese on top.

She captioned the photos: "Sunday’s... hangover cure #happyhusband #happyhouse."

While the reality star's followers were impressed with her cooking efforts, they were a bit taken aback by the addition of the mac 'n' cheese.

"Is that Mac&cheese?" one bewildered fan asked.

"Is that macaroni too?! xx" another added.

Kate also shared a snap of herself looking like a domestic goddess as she posed with the three chickens she'd roasted for their feast, as well as a close-up shot of her roasted potatoes.

It comes after the step-mum of Rio's three children revealed that their documentary helped "save" her relationship with Rio after she was left "in a state" and feeling "isolated and alone".

Rio and Kate: Becoming a Stepfamily followed Kate's journey becoming part of the family after the death of Rio's wife Rebecca.

Speaking on Ferne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, Kate admitted: "I felt super vulnerable, I was in quite a state.

"When we were filming I struggled with it so much. I was all over the place, but at the same time we needed help.

"We were stuck in a place where if we don't ask for help then where's our relationship going to be then?"

Rebecca lost her life to breast cancer in May 2015 when she was just 34 years old.

Rio met Kate in October 2016 after Rebecca's death and has previously credited her with helping the family get through their grief.

The couple are now stronger than ever and Kate recently revealed she'd love to have a baby with Rio once his three kids reach five.

“I think [having a baby] will bring us all together, tighter, closer as a knit," she said on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast.

"It’s weird because when we’re in the house and it’s us five, I feel like their mum and I know I’m not their Mum and we all feel the same. I just feel like they’re my children. It’s a normal family.”
