THE ENGLISH GAME is coming to Netflix this year and will explore the origins of football.
Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes is behind the new series focused on the beautiful game.
When will The English Game be released?
There has not been an official release date for the drama.
However, it is set to be released sometime in 2020 on Netflix.
Production of the series began in Spring 2019 in locations such as Yorkshire.
Who is in The English Games?
The drama will be fronted by an impressive list of several British actors.
Amongst them include Kingsman star Edward Holcroft, The Terror's Kevin Guthrie, Charlotte Hope who is best known for her role as Myranda on Game of Thrones.
Craig Parkinson and The Victim's James Harkness also star in the series.
Other stars who have joined the new drama series include Gerard Kearns, Henry Lloyd Hughes and Ben Batt.

What is The English Game about?
The drama delves into the origins of football and how it became such a worldwide phenomenon.
According to Netflix, in 1870s England, two footballers "on opposite sides of a class divide forge a bond that helps bring the upper-class gentleman’s sport to the masses".
The series is created by period drama maestro Julian Fellowes, the brains behind Downton Abbey and upcoming drama Belgravia.
Netflix has not released a trailer for the drama yet but with a premiere set for 2020, it could be released soon.
