Corrie’s Alan Halsall and his new girlfriend Tisha Merry stranded in New York during travel nightmare

CORONATION Street star Alan Halsall has been stranded with his girlfriend and former co-star Tisha Merry in New York.

The pair were trying to make their way back from their holiday, but found themselves stuck in the States.

Tisha, who played Steph Britton on the ITV soap from 2013-2018, was on holiday with Tyrone Dobbs star Alan in the Dominican Republic.

The actress took to social media to document their getaway, posting Instagram stories about how they’d got stuck in The Big Apple.

Tisha, 25, posted a snap of her drink, writing: "Wine, please get me through this."

In another, she added: "Stuck in New York airport AND we’ve already be travelling for 12 hours! Help!"

Her panicked posts continued, as Tisha said: "By the time we get home, we will have been on 3 planes and been travelling for over 24 hours!

"At least i can say i’ve been to The Big Apple?!"

It is unclear why they have been stranded and The Sun Online have contacted Coronation Street for comment.

Alan's character Tyrone is currently involved in one of Corrie's biggest storylines, as master manipulator Jade tried her best to take her sister Hope away from both Tyrone and Fiz as a result of her being evil John Stape’s daughter.

Both Tisha and Alan went public with their romance in May 2019, sharing a snap of them kissing at a wedding in Cheshire.

Before his relationship with Tisha, the 37-year-old was married to former Corrie star Lucy-Jo Hudson for nine years.

They share a daughter called Sienna-Rae.
