Coronation Street’s Sair Khan forced to deny she’s pregnant after holding tum and being pictured in bed with a male pal
CORONATION Street star Sair Khan has been forced to deny she is pregnant after being pictured holding her tummy and in bed with a male pal.
The actress – who split from Our Girl star Simon Lennon last year – enjoyed a birthday jaunt in the Lake District at the weekend.
But after she posted a snap of herself cosying up with her "bestie" under the covers and another of herself cradling her stomach, she was quick to tell fans on Instagram that she isn't in the family way.
The 32-year-old star captioned the collection of snaps: "Thank you for all the birthday love! I had a joyous day yesterday and spent last weekend in the Lakes celebrating with my bestie."
After being inundated with comments from fans asking if she was expecting, Sair commented: "OMG I’M NOT PREGNANT!!
"That was a terrible choice of picture to post. It was just a food baby but I thought I looked cute."
Proving that she was taking the error in good jest, the brunette beauty added a series of crying with laughter emojis.
Sair has played Alya Nazir in the ITV soap since 2014, and revealed that she and Simon had split in September.
The couple, who had been dating for almost two years, struggled to spend quality time together after Sair threw herself into filming for Channel 4's Sink Or Swim.
A TV source close to the actress said at the time: "Sair has found the challenge of learning to swim from scratch really tough.
"Training has been more difficult than she expected and it has really taken its toll on her emotionally and pushed her relationship to breaking point.
"Previously, the pair spent a lot of their spare time together.
"Now both of them have huge work commitments and are at pivotal times in their careers. They have tried to make it work but are taking some time to give each other breathing space."
