Tony King, played by actor Chris Coghill, arrived in Walford in 2008.

He was the boyfriend of Bianca Jackson, and stepfather to her children Whitney Dean, Tiffany, Liam and Morgan.

What did Tony do to Whitney in EastEnders?

Viewers were shocked when Bianca's boyfriend became Whitney’s abuser in a harrowing storyline.

Tony groomed her as a teenager for years while dating her mum and led her to believe they were in love and going to run away together.

But when Tony lost interest in Whit and moved on to her friend Lauren Branning, Whitney exposed the affair to Bianca.

When Whitney spoke out about abuse, Tony was jailed and later killed himself in prison out of shame for his crimes.

How is Leo connected to Tony in EastEnders?

Leo is the son of paedo Tony and has taken it on as his life mission to get revenge for what happened to his father and family.

He blames Whitney for his dad’s death - convincing himself that she’s lying about Tony’s abuse.

The villain began his evil revenge plot when he followed her on her honeymoon after a doomed wedding day to Callum Highway last year, starting up a romance with her abroad.

Back on the Square, he continued to charm her and made her believe they were in a loving relationship together.

And after Whit discovered Leo's true identity and dumped him, it became clear that breaking her heart wasn’t the extent of his revenge.

Fans know that Leo has been using the moment Kush shoved him off the balcony to his advantage, enjoying the power he now has over Whitney - who doesn't want Kush to get charged with GBH.

After Whitney visited him in hospital following the fall, evil Leo then smashed her head against the ground next to Tony King’s grave and forced her to apologise to his paedo father.

When she finally escaped his clutches, she made her way to bed.

But as she lay sleeping in her room, viewers discovered that twisted Leo was hiding in the attic and spying on Whitney through a peephole.

On last night's episode, after days of hiding, creepy Leo tip-toed out from the attic and snuck into Whitney’s room.

Viewers were horrified when they realised he was holding a huge knife and planned to stab her to death while she slept.

But Sonia returned just in time, with Leo forced to flee back to the attic.

Is Leo going to kill Whitney in EastEnders?

Official spoilers have revealed that Leo overhears that Whitney has a letter from Tony as he hides in the attic this week.

When Whitney goes out, Leo turns the place upside down searching for it.

Whitney is horrified to see the place in disarray when she gets home and is quick to ring the police.

Kat arrives and tries to calm Whitney down, suggesting they all go to the boat party to relax.

But as Whitney gets ready, she’s terrified when Leo pops up in her bedroom.

Leo seethes with hatred and Whitney is forced to fight for her life as he tries to make her pay for his father’s downfall.

EastEnders has confirmed that the explosive showdown will leave one person with blood on their hands.

Fans are convinced Whitney is going to end up killing Leo in self-defence.

One fan tweeted: "Blood on their hands omg Whitney is gonna kill Leo isn't she."

Another added: "Here's my prediction for this two year story for Whitney. Leo and Whitney have a huge showdown, Whitney kills Leo in self defence, Whitney is traumatised by what's happened and what's she's done, she develops schizophrenia and sees visions of leo and maybe Tony. #EastEnders"

A third tweeted: "Me looking in the background and surmising that Whitney kills Leo in self-defence."

According to New magazine, actor Tom Wells - who plays Leo - believes his character will go to extreme lengths to get revenge.

"Leo will stop at nothing, simply because his life's purpose is to right the wrong that's been done to his dad and his family," he explained.
