Liz Hurley insists she’s ‘too old’ to wear a bikini – but poses in them all the time anyway
ACTRESS Liz Hurley has insisted that she is 'too old' to wear a bikini in public, despite regularly posting swimsuit-clad selfies on Instagram.
The 54-year-old star explained that she would rather cover up nowadays, and chooses to only wear a two-piece in private.
Speaking on Susannah Constantine's podcast, , the Bedazzled star said: "Most people are fine lying down, but when they stand up they want to cover up, including me.
"I like to cover up a lot. I certainly wouldn't walk round a public beach parading in a bikini anymore. I'm much too old.
"But, privately, of course."
The Hollywood actress' confession may come as a surprise to many as her social media is often peppered with swimsuit selfies, promoting her swimwear brand Elizabeth Hurley Beach.
Last month, Liz's son Damian described 2019 as “indescribably challenging” as he shared a series of unseen pictures of his mum and friends.
The 17-year-old candidly discussed the past 12 months in a lengthy Instagram post yesterday - a week after the new year started.
He told his followers: “I'm aware that this is slightly late, but it's taken me a while to put these pictures together.
“The past year has been a strange mix of events- both unbelievably incredible and indescribably challenging.
“Whilst I've accomplished so much that I'm proud of, my friends and I have all also been through things that I sincerely hope we'll never have to experience again.”
The teen - who is a model and an actor – continued: “Regardless, 2020 has now well and truly begun, and I have no doubt that it will be our best year yet.”
He later added: “EDIT: I WROTE THAT AT 2AM LAST NIGHT FEELING INCREDIBLY ELOQUENT AND NOSTALGIC- TRANSLATION= HAVE THE BEST YEAR EVER.”
Alongside his reflective words he posted a picture of him grinning broadly with his.
Others shots saw him with his close friends having fun and in another he was seen running through the snow.
Liz and Damian are incredibly close and often feature on each other's Instagram pages, regularly wowing followers with their similarities.
The actress previously came under fire when she revealed that her son was the photographer behind many of the saucy snaps.

She defended getting the teen to photograph her in her swimwear, saying as he’s studying photography he has an eye for it.
She said: "When we’re on holiday together, sure he’ll take some pictures.
"And you know, he’s got a really good eye and he’s studying photography and it’s ridiculous."
