Rachel Riley cradles adorable newborn daughter Maven Aria with husband Pasha Kovalev
RACHEL Riley and husband Pasha Kovalev have posed together for an adorable family photo shoot with their baby girl Maven Aria.
The Countdown star, 33, welcomed her daughter into the world on 15th December 2019 - two weeks after her due date.
The family posed for their very first shoot together as a unit of three for baby clothing company From Babies with Love.
For the shoot Rachel opted for a blue top, natural makeup and let her locks fall naturally onto her shoulders.
Her husband, 39, went for a matching navy jumper, mauve shirt and even also dressed baby Maven Aria in the same colours - as she wore a baby grow with the word "love" written across it in navy.
Rachel shared one of the snaps to her Instagram account and said: "From Babies with Love donate 100% of their profit to orphaned and abandoned children.
"When she’s older I’m going to teach her about creating positive change in the world, for now, I’m trying my best, for my own little one and for children everywhere.
"From Babies with Love’s beautiful, organic baby clothes are such a heartwarming way to contribute. www.frombabieswithlove.org."
The arrival of Maven Aria was not expected by the pair and the mathematician couldn't even get to the hospital in time.
Maven Aria, who is called Mave for short, was born in Rachel's bathroom surrounded by love and support from his family and midwives.
She took to Twitter to tell the world about her happy news after a couple of days and said: "2 weeks after we were expecting her this little one finally made an appearance.
“Miss Maven (one who understands) Aria (lioness) Riley Kovaleva arrived on Sunday morning weighing in at 7lbs 4."
She added: “After keeping us waiting she came so fast we didn’t get to hospital & was born in our bathroom with our amazing doula & wonderful St Mary’s midwives rushing over to be with us just in time!
“She’s absolutely perfect & Pasha & I are in newborn bliss. Couldn’t be more in love.”
Rachel met the father of her baby in 2013 when they were partnered together on BBC1's popular dance competition Strictly Come Dancing.
The two hit it off immediately and couldn't hide the fact that they had amazing chemistry both on and off screen.
They soon officially started dating in 2014 and five years later the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level - and tied the knot in 2019 during a ceremony in Las Vegas.
Rachel took to Twitter to share the exciting new and told her 645,000 followers: "Introducing the new Mr and Mrs Kovalev. We both said yes!"
Despite being married to James Gilbert, Rachel decided to call time on their fifteen-month marriage in November 2013.
She went on to insist that her relationship with her former husband didn't break down because of her dancing partnership because of the dreaded Strictly Curse.
