Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield accused of ‘faking’ their hangovers by This Morning fans
HOLLY Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have been accused of “faking” their hangovers by This Morning fans after leaving the NTAs before midnight.
They struggled their way through presenting the show today as Holly messed up her lines after claiming they were “suffering”.
Phillip clung onto a Bloody Mary – the so-called hangover cure drink – and lacklusterly asked: “what are we doing now?”
He admitted: “We’re just holding on by our fingertips here. We’ve never read so slowly in our lives”, while Holly shouted: “We’re over”.
But viewers weren’t buying their “act” four years on from presenting This Morning “drunk” in last night’s clothes.
One said: “Turned #ThisMorning off. The fake hangovers are starting to kick in.”
Another added: “Oh my god @hollywills is really doing my head in now!! This fake “I’m hungover, can’t remember how to speak & acting stupid” is so annoying!!
“Constant attention seeking and just totally bad mannered during interviews … #ThisMorning.”
Someone else asked: “Are people really falling for this ‘let’s pretend we’re drunk’ act. #sameeveryyear #ThisMorning.”
Another said: “Time for fake laughing and pretending to be drunk , these 2 are the fake at people on TV , us think they would take their viewers advice and cut the c**p , god I hate them #thismorning.”
Someone else rudley said: “F*** off with your fake laughter and screeching #thismorning.”
A viewer added: “Not being funny but why do they do this every year? Pretend to be late or drunk? The joke is old now…
“Just do the show “normal” Thank everyone for voting, address the feud rumours and move on #ThisMorning.”
But Phil wasn’t bothered about presenting while feeling rough today, telling viewers: “I don’t care.”
It came after he appeared on stage at last night’s awards and awkwardly wrapped his arm around Ruth Langsford in the wake of their feud drama.
Celebrating the end of today’s show, Holly screamed: “We made it.”
