EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace ‘made an a*** of herself’ before two month suspension for boozing on set
EASTENDERS star Jessie Wallace was “making a right a*** out of herself” before she was suspended for two months for boozing on set.
She was filming scenes on a boat on the Thames for the soap’s 35th anniversary special.
But chiefs are furious Jessie, 48, set a bad example for the soap’s young cast.
A source said: “Jessie was clearly tipsy and got very verbal. She made an a*** out of herself — it’s was quite sad to see.
“She’s been given two months to sort herself out and bosses hope she’ll return in a better frame of mind.
“Jessie is really highly thought of and a legend on the Square so everyone is hoping this is just a blip.”
Jessie was pictured filming alongside co-stars including Davood Ghadami, who plays love interest Kush Kazemi.
Dressed in character as Kat Slater wearing leopard-print, she was at one stage snapped holding on to a life ring and laughing with other members of the cast and crew.
We revealed earlier this month a major character dies during the dramatic anniversary scenes.
Mother of one Jessie split from her boyfriend of two years, greengrocer Paul Keepin, just before Christmas.
A source said at the time “she is moving on and wants the New Year to be a fresh start when she will focus on work.”
Jessie was previously suspended from EastEnders in the mid-2000s because of her excess drinking.
