Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner reveals conditions for returning to spin-offs after finale series caused ‘breakdown’
SOPHIE Turner has addressed a potential return to Westeros in one of Game of Thrones’ spin-off series.
The British actress, best known for playing Sansa Stark on the HBO drama, said she would be reluctant to dive back into the Seven Kingdoms, but everyone has their price.
“I would give anything to go back to what we had, but it wouldn’t be the same,” she told Variety at the SAG Awards.
“It would be different, different people running it, I don’t want to be a part of it. Unless they give me the big bucks I’m not doing it!” she added.
Since the SAG Awards is the last in a long line of award shows in which Game of Thrones was nominated, it marks one of the last events at which the cast of the show will appear together.
Reflecting on her last days as Sansa, Sophie admitted filming for the final season was bittersweet.
“The day that I really appreciated everything was the very last day on set, and it was the saddest day as well,” she recounted.
“I walked onto the set of Winterfell in my costume for the last time. And I was looking around and I just welled up. I was like ‘This is amazing how empowered I feel to be on this set.’”
While she is grateful for the happy memories, Sophie admitted she felt extremely low after filming wrapped, and couldn’t even bring herself to leave the house.
“That was the day I really appreciated but it was also the day that I broke down and didn’t get out of bed for the next three days,” she reflected.
“Everyone cried. And everyone cried when other people wrapped as well. The whole season everyone was just blubbing.”
Sansa’s story came to an end when she was crowned Queen in the North in the show’s last ever episode.
Her brother Bran, who was crowned King, agreed to devolve the North, allowing for independent rule.
All seasons of Game of Thrones are available on DVD and Blu-ray now.
