Dancing on Ice’s Phillip Schofield forced to apologise after Maura Higgins swears live on air
DANCING On Ice's Phillip Schofield was forced to apologise after Maura Higgins swore live on air.
The Love Island star and partner Alexander Demetriou were the last of the couples to be told they are safe from elimiantion.
The tension clearly got to the Irish beauty, however, as once they were declared safe Maura is spotted mouthing what appears to be "f***".
Immediately afterwards, co-host Phillip was forced to apologise, saying: "Sorry if there was any bad language there. Our apologies."
Luckily, the sound wasn't picked up on Maura's mic.
The reality star wrapped her arms around professional partner Alexander as they awaited the result.
When their names were heard, they are both overjoyed and give each other a big hug.
Maura's boyfriend, Curtis Pritchard, was spotted celebrating in the crowd after being put through.
The star managed to bag 25 points, putting her in the upper end of the leaderboard.
Lucrezia Millarini became the next person to be eliminated from the ITV skating competition after her and pro partner Brendyn Hatfield failed to impress in the skate off.
She was up against Kevin Kilbane and his partner Brianne Delcourt.
The judges vote was split with head judge Christopher Dean casting the deciding vote to save Kevin, sending Lucrezia home.
It was the second time the couple had been in the skate off, after the judges saved them last week over Trisha Goddard.
Lucrezia found herself second from the bottom of the leaderboard with 21 points, just ahead of Joe Swash.
However the presenter was saved, and Kevin, 42, found himself in the skate off after finishing just above Lucrezia with 22 points.
Their departure comes after host Holly Willoughby shocked viewers by announcing Caprice had "parted ways" with her skating partner Hamish Gaman.
Holly revealed the surprising news at the start of the show following a group dance which the model was not part of.
Holly said: "Unfortunately Caprice and Hamish have parted ways and will not be skating this week.
"As you saw in our opening number, Hamish remains very much part of our professional team and we hope to have Caprice back on the ice next week."
