Nadine Coyle vows to ‘reveal myself a bit more’ as she prepares to release a new single after splitting from Jason Bell
TEN years on from her debut album Insatiable, Nadine Coyle is going solo again.
Fresh from her stint on I’m A Celebrity, the Girls Aloud star is releasing a new song, called All That I Know, on January 31.
I told in September how she had split from Jason Bell, the former American football star- turned-Beeb pundit who was her partner for 11 years and is the father of Nadine’s daughter Anaiya.
But Nadine insists Jason is NOT the inspiration behind her tune, which is about yearning for a partner.
Opening up about their split for the first time, she told me in an exclusive chat: “It’s not that, although I adore Jason. He’s great and he’s Anaiya’s daddy. He’s brilliant. But yes, you always take references from your own life.
“Obviously Jason and I spent a long time together but we are very, very close. I wouldn’t get a chance to miss Jason! I see him, like, three times a day. We’re very close. Jason lives very nearby. Incredibly nearby.”
Thankfully, there was no painful scandal at the end of their relationship.
Nadine told me: “I think it came naturally, to be honest. It can come to a situation where you’re almost (just) really, really good friends, so that can change the dynamic of a relationship.
"Jason and I are very, very close in that way. We’re more friends than in a romantic sense. He was in our house for Christmas. We still take Anaiya out, we have dinners. She’s always the main priority.”
Nadine finished fifth on I’m A Celeb last month. She said her experience in the jungle left her feel more “open”, especially in terms of her music.
And there are more songs on the way later this year. Nadine added of her new single: “It is quite an emotional one.
“I think this is the year to be a bit more brave.
"I’ve done loads of things and I’m happy with life and where everything is at, so I may as well reveal myself a bit more – like by being in the jungle.
“I should have the lyrical content in my songs be more revealing as well. It’s 2020. It’s a new era.”

IT’S been 15 years since Lindsay Lohan released her second album A Little More Personal (Raw), but she told a fan on Instagram her as-yet-untitled third album will be out at the “end of Feb”.
Mabel's an inspiration
MABEL has called for more women to get into music to inspire other girls.
She is the most-nominated female at next month’s Brit Awards, up for three gongs, but feels like the industry is still male-dominated.
Speaking on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast, she said: “I guess I’m always trying to encourage other women to make music. We should be touring together and we should be writing together.”
She added: “The world is very male-dominated, so the best thing I can do is make young women feel confident about themselves.”
Wade to go Lizzo
LIZZO is pop’s golden girl of the moment – and doesn’t she know it.
The Good As Hell singer wore this strappy golden one-piece to dance around with her pals on a beach in New Zealand.
Lizzo recently performed in Australia and volunteered at a warehouse packing hampers for victims of the bushfires, but that didn’t stop her putting on a show on the sand in front of a car.
She’s clearly in a good mood, having recently been nominated for the International Female Solo act at the Brit Awards, to be held at London’s O2 Arena on February 18.
The body-positive star is used to wearing very little in front of the cameras after playing a stripper in 2019 film, Hustlers. But its director Lorene Scafaria this week revealed Lizzo had even been keen to take off her bra in the film.
She said: “I didn’t know she was willing to go topless until after. She was upset nobody asked her. I thought I was being respectful.”
Dua's American gleam
EVEN in a drab outfit, Dua Lipa still manages to brighten up New York, where the weather has been just as grey as over here.

The New Rules singer wore a brown gilet with Burberry miniskirt while out with boyfriend Anwar Hadid. But I’m surprised she looked so fresh, having been out partying the night before.
She was filmed by a fan dancing along to her own song, as well as The Pussycat Dolls’ Don’t Cha, at a gay bar in the city.
With a tour starting in April, she had better get that dance practice in while she can.
