EMINEM is the most successful rapper of all time, with over 220million records sold worldwide.
Between catapulting to mainstream notoriety with the release of The Slim Shady LP in 1999, and the release of his latest album The Death of Slim Shady, the hip-hop megastar has been linked with several high-profile celebrities.
As of August 2024, it is understood that Eminem — real name Marshall Mathers — is single.
Not only is he currently not dating, according to a source he's "too paranoid to give any woman a shot".
The insider exclusively told that he is "scarred for life" from his previous tumultuous relationships.
They added: “He just can’t bring himself to trust anyone enough to open up to them.
“But his friends know that deep down he’d love to be in a relationship.
“It’s really sad to see him so lonely — they wish he’d let his guard down and open up to finding love again."
And these "trust issues" have been plaguing Eminem for well over a decade, as he explained in a 2011 interview with .
"I mean, I'd like to be in a relationship again someday. Who doesn't? It's just hard to meet new people, in my position," he said.
"I have trust issues. With women, friends, whatever. You always wonder what their real motives are.
"I've got a small circle of friends, and it's a lot of the same friends I've known forever. Right now, that works for me."
Over the years, Eminem has only tied the knot with one woman.
He was married to Kimberly "Kim" Scott from 1999 to 2001 and then again briefly in 2006.
They began dating in 1989 after meeting in high school.
During that time, Kim lived with Eminem's mother, Debbie Nelson, because she and her twin sister, Dawn, ran away from home to reportedly escape their alcoholic stepfather, according to .
“I met her the day she got out of the youth home,” Eminem recalled during a 2004 interview with .
“I was at a friend’s house, and his sister was friends with her, but she hadn’t seen Kim in a while ’cause she was in the youth home.
"And I’m standing on the table with my shirt off, on top of their coffee table with a Kangol on, mocking the words to LL Cool J’s ‘I’m Bad.’ And I turn around and she’s at the door. Her friend hands her a cigarette.”
He added: “I said to my friend’s sister, ‘Yo, who was that? She’s kinda hot.’ And the saga began. Now there’s the constant struggle of ‘will I ever meet somebody else that’s gonna be real with me, as real as I can say she’s been with me?’”
Friends said that the pair were meant for each other, but ultimately life got in the way.
“Money is great, but it doesn’t make your husband stay at home with you,” Kim said during a with 20/20.
“Or sleep in the same bed with you… Him being on the road and on tour… that was like the big one. I mean… constant infidelities, all the time.”
After Eminem parted ways with Kim, he went on to have multiple relationships — although a number of them amount to little more than conjecture.
Kaya Jones claimed she met Eminem during his world tour in 1997.
At the time the former Pussycat Dolls singer would have been just 13 years old.
Her contention that they knew each other later sparked rumours that the two were dating.
However, the relationship was never confirmed.
Eminem claimed he and Mariah Carey dated for around six months in 2001, but the We Belong Together singer has denied ever being involved with him.
On a 2006 radio show the rapper said: "Yes, me and Mariah did have a relationship for about a good six, seven months.
“It didn't work. I wasn't really into what she was into, our personalities collided.
“She's a diva, and I'm a little more regular, I guess."
He added: "I can never deny her talent, but the fact that she denied we ever had something, that's bad."
Avengers star Joy McAvoy opened up about a night she spent with Eminem in a 2001 Daily Record article.
Describing herself as a "huge fan" of the rapper, she explained how they didn't go all the way, but did enjoy a heart-to-heat, kiss and cuddle.
She said: "We talked about relationships and he told me how difficult it was for him to have a serious relationship because of his fame.”
Joy added: “We spent the entire night in his hotel.”
When Brittany Murphy and Eminem hooked up in the 2002 film 8 Mile, fans were quick to speculate whether the two were more than just on-screen lovers.
According to Distractify, in an October 18, 2001 interview on the Late Show with David Letterman, Brittany shared the truth about the relationship.
She reportedly said that their romance "came and went".
Eminem was romantically linked with Tara Reid in 2004.
However the American Pie star has never confirmed the relationship.
The rapper mentioned Tara in his 2018 track Kamikaze.
During Eminem and Kim's relationship, they welcomed one daughter, Hailie Jade Scott Mathers.
She was born on December 25, 1995, in Detroit, Michigan.
Eminem calls Hailie his "proudest achievement" and often expresses his pride in his music and on social media.
In 2002, Eminem released the song Hailie's Song, in which he says she kept him from going "crazy".
"My baby girl keeps gettin’ older, I watch her grow up with pride," he raps.
Eminem is also the adopted father of his niece, Alaina, and stepdaughter Stevie Mathers, formerly Whitney, whom Kim welcomed with her ex-husband Eric Hartter.
