EastEnders spoilers: Linda Carter back on the booze as cast film 35th anniversary death episode
EASTENDERS' Linda Carter will be back on the booze by the 35th anniversary.
The Queen Vic landlady - who is played by actress Kellie Bright in the BBC soap - has been battling her addiction to alcohol for months and it now appears she will fail just in time for a shock death.
The Sun exclusively revealed yesterday how a major character would die in the scenes after falling off the boat into an icy watery death.
Queen Vic landlords Mick and Linda Carter throw the bash after winning the best pub in Walford competition and filming pictures have shown Linda throwing herself into it by downing champagne.
It is the first look at the dramatic episodes shot on location this week.
Those thought to be at risk include Mick, played by Danny Dyer, and veterans Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean).
A source on the BBC soap, which features the London river in its credits, told The Sun yesterday: "Where better place for a major death than on the Thames itself, which is so central to the show?
"Trouble has been brewing in Walford for a while, and they decided it was the perfect occasion to see off a big name.
"It’s thought that as part of the dramatic scenes Sharon will give birth on the boat, but she is just one of many who could see themselves go overboard to an icy, watery death."
Others guests include Ian’s sons Peter, played by new actor Dayle Hudson, and Bobby (Clay Milner Russell).
The week’s episodes, which will air in the third week of February, will focus on 24 hours as the guests board the ferry and begin to celebrate.
