In scenes that will air next month, Queen Vic landlords Mick and Linda Carter will host the bash after winning the Best Pub In London contest.

And viewers have been speculating who could be at risk ever since, with Callum - played by Tony Clay - one of their front-runners to get the boot.

Ben Mitchell [Max Bowden] recently dumped Callum as he didn't want him to get involved in his family's dodgy dealings.

So fans believe that Callum dying could unleash an even darker side of the Walford bad boy, which they believe executive producer Kate Oates is keen to explore.

Writing on a fan forum, one speculated: "It will be Callum as Kate Oates wants Ben become darker so why not kill the love of his life to turn him evil?"

Referencing the brutal murder of Ben's first love, Paul Coker, another replied: "So you think KO will be doing a rinse and repeat of Paul then?

"It wouldn't surprise me."

A third 'Enders addict chipped in: "I have a feeling it might be Callum :/ I really hope I’m wrong", while another wrote: "Oh poor Callum, sinking beneath the waves as Ben tries to make space on his floating door, and fails."

"A million hearts will break."

One more theorised: "I actually think it might be Callum.

"It's exactly the kind of thing Kate Oates would do, mainly because it means plenty more scenes of Ben feeling sorry for himself."

Somebody replied: "A good bet, turning Ben into Ronnie."

Ronnie Mitchell was Ben's dad's cousin, who had a tragic life on Albert Square with two children dying before her ultimate demise on her wedding day alongside sister Roxy.

Discussing the upcoming scenes, an EastEnders source told us: "Where better place for a major death than on the Thames itself, which is so central to the show?

"Trouble has been brewing in Walford for a while, and they decided it was the perfect occasion to see off a big name.

The week’s episodes, which will air in the third week of February, will focus on 24 hours as the guests board the ferry and begin to celebrate.

Beeb bosses have also promised drama back in Albert Square while half of the neighbourhood are away celebrating.
