EastEnders viewers in tears as Ben confesses to Callum about ‘killing a man’ but he rejects him

EASTENDERS viewers were left in tears tonight as Ben Mitchell confessed to on/off lover Callum about Keanu's 'murder' but he rejected him.

There were calls for Max Bowden - who plays the Albert Square bad boy - to get an award for his performance as he broke down in front of his true love.

Giving Callum the chance to accept him for "killing a man", Ben was brutally honest with Callum in a heart tonight that had people sobbing in front of their TVs.

It kicked off when Callum came round in a rage to confront Ben about meddling in his love life.

He shouted that he could "handle" whatever Ben had done and wanted to be with him.

But he was soon given a shock when Ben told all.

Callum said: "I'm not scared of some dodgy car deals and a black eye, Ben. Do you think that scares me?

"I thought about it a lot when I was away. I can handle it. I don't have to agree with everything you do, but I can handle it, for you.

"For you, Ben, because I love you."

Asking him to give him to give "one, good, proper reason" for them not to be together, Ben replied: "Because a man's dead. A man is dead because of me."

He added: "You know how I feel about you Callum, but I meant what I said. You're too good for me.

"This ain't just a few stolen cars and a black eye. It's more than that and it always will be.

"Now you sit there and tell me you ain't scared and you'll love me no matter what. Now is your chance. Prove it."

Sadly for Ben, Callum got up straight away and left Ben alone in the house.

He broke down in tears as he realised his future with Callum was over for good.
