Piers Morgan slams Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as he brands ITV ‘a seething hotbed of backstabbing liars’

PIERS Morgan slammed Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield this morning, branding ITV “a seething hotbed of backstabbing liars” in a passionate rant.

The 54-year-old star’s rage was triggered by the National Television Awards, with Holly and Phil’s daytime show regularly beating Good Morning Britain at the ceremony.

The programmes are once again going head to head for the Best Live Magazine Show, but Piers vowed to boycott the do because he knows that they won’t win.

Encouraging viewers NOT to vote for GMB, Piers seethed: “Holly and Phil go: ‘What? Us? Us? Little old us? For the 55th consecutive year?’

“They do their whole: ‘We’re all one big happy family at ITV’.”

Fuelling speculation that there is unrest backstage at the TV network, Piers continued: “Everyone knows we’re a seething hotbed of backstabbing liars, charlatans, drunkards.

“Hope you do it again.”

Holly and Phil weren’t the only victims of Piers’ acid-tongue today, with the presenter going on to slam Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for always winning the Best TV Presenter award.
