EASTENDERS’ Heather Trott star Cheryl Fergison has begged TV bosses to let her return to the soap - despite her character's death in 2012.
The 54-year-old actress wants an epic comeback from the dead as Heather's identical twin - but will she actually return or is the storyline too much of a stretch for the hit BBC One soap?
Is Heather Trott returning to EastEnders?
Cheryl is desperate for her character to return to the soap despite the obvious problem of Heather being dead.
The actress seems to have accepted she can't return from her coffin so has come up with an ingenious solution - Cheryl could return as Heather’s long lost identical twin.
Writing on Instagram, she said: "Ok so I’ve had lots of people asking if I could go back to @bbceastenders as Hev's long lost twin...
"So writers there's a challenge and actually there is a storyline that could defo make that possible...
"Remember Hev's mum (she was a wicked one) and aunt babes terrible past story of selling babies !! If you would like to see this epic come back let @bbceastenders know..."
But the storyline seems a bit of a stretch, even in soap land.
Although EastEnders does love a plot twist, so fans will just have to wait and see...
When was Heather Trott killed off in EastEnders?
Heather was onscreen between 2007 and 2012.
Ben Mitchell, then played by Joshua Pascoe, killed Heather in 2012 by hitting her over the head with a photo frame.
She was definitely a goner, as blood oozed from her head and Jay Mitchell found no pulse.
Why was Hev killed off in EastEnders?
Ben did away with Heather when he turned up at her flat in an attempt to rob her.
The Square’s villain planned on using the money to flee Walford and when Hev got in the way he grabbed a photo frame and bashed her over the head with it.
Ben then turned himself in at a police station and got off lightly when he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
