Kanye West ‘to bring his Sunday Service gospel shows to Africa and Europe’
KANYE West plans to bring his Sunday Service gospel shows to the rest of the world, according to reports.
The rapper, 42, has hosted weekly gospel performances across the United States and beyond since January 2019.
With successes in Coachella and even Jamaica, the star reportedly wants to expand his horizons for 2020.
The star's expansion efforts will focus on Europe and Africa this year, sources close to Kanye told .
The gossip site also says he is going to create another album gospel album, after releasing Jesus is Born just before Christmas last year.
Kanye also released his Christian-inspired solo album, Jesus is King, in September.
His Sunday Service shows are attended by masses of A-Listers, with the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Brad Pitt and Robert Cooper all visiting at one point.
While the services are non-denominational - with the idea to communicate love - they borrow a lot from Black Christian churches.
The outdoor services haven't always gone smoothly. In March last year, Los Angeles police were called after neighbours filed a noise complaint.
Kanye's spiritual awakening is affecting more than just his professional life - as he has since asked Kim to dress more respectfully on the red carpet.
In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the pair rowed over her choice of outfit for the 2019 Met Gala.
The rapper told Kim: "You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy" before walking off.
"The corset, the underwear, all that vibe, I just feel like. I just went through this transition where from being a rapper, looking at all these girls...looking at my wife - [thinking] 'My girl needs to be just like all the other girls and showing her body off, showing this, showing that'."
"I didn't realise that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone that's married and loved and the father - now of about to be four kids," he told Kim, who sat on the sofa on her cellphone.
