George Michael’s ex Fadi Fawaz banned from going to funeral of late singer’s sister Melanie
GEORGE Michael’s former partner Fadi Fawaz has been barred from going to the funeral of the star’s sister.
Melanie Panayiotou, 55, was found dead on Christmas Day — exactly three years after George, 53.
Sources say they had a very close bond and she struggled to get over it.
Hair stylist Fadi sent condolences but his relationship with the family has been strained by his legal fight for a share of George’s £98million estate.
He squatted in the singer’s £5million mansion, ignoring legal letters to leave, and was kicked out in July after being arrested for suspected criminal damage.
A source said: “Fadi did nothing but elevate the stress and sadness following George’s death. Melanie was particularly upset by his actions.

“It made the family’s decision to snub him a simple one. They want to mourn her without distraction.”
Melanie, who hosted George’s wake at his home in Regent’s Park, North West London, was found dead at home in Hampstead by sister Yioda, 57.
She is expected to be laid to rest in the same plot as George and their mother Lesley.
