Southern Charm’s Jeff Charleston reveals he’s on the ‘road to recovery’ after horrific motorcycle crash left him in ICU
SOUTHERN Charm: New Orleans star Jeff Charleston says he's on the "road to recovery" after a serious motorcycle accident landed him in the ICU for Christmas.
Amid reports of a collision in local newspapers, the former football star assured fans he was "alive" and "blessed" to have his girlfriend by his side.
The handsome star, 36, said: "Spent Christmas Day in ICU after a motor vehicle accident on December 23.
"...I have a long and difficult road to recovery in front of me but just want to make sure I do appreciate all the support and love all of you."
He credited his "true angel," girlfriend Maddie, with helping him through the crisis.
He added: "The best part of all of it is that not only am I alive but I was blessed to have @_maddienoel_ in my life.
"A true angle that has been there every step of the way."
According to , the reality star suffered multiple life-threatening injuries including a broken pelvis when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with another vehicle in New Orleans.
The report claims he has undergone several surgeries, and is still under medical care.
The crash is now being investigated by the New Orleans Police Department.
Jeff had been updating fans of his recent travels across the country on his motorcycle, and rumors began to swirl of the accident on Reddit shortly after the crash.
His Southern Charm costars responded to his Instagram update.
Tamica Lee wrote “love you,” along with a heart.
Barry Smith also showed the love, posting on the picture “praying for you bro! Love you.”

Jeff married his now-ex Reagen Charleston in 2012, and the two appeared on the reality show together.
But they announced their divorce on the season 2 premiere of the show in 2018.
He told Bravo last summer: "We've both moved on in different directions. I think we're both a lot happier right now."
