Tori Spelling in more financial strain as sheriff directed to seize $5K for unpaid credit card bill
TORI Spelling’s financial troubles continue as the sheriff has been directed to seize over $5,000 from the actress after she failed to pay up in her credit card bill lawsuit.
The Sun Online obtained court papers that reveal the Los Angeles County Sheriff or Marshal has been directed to “enforce the judgment” against Tori, 46, in the amount of $5,506.94.
Tori was ordered to pay Plaintiff Cavalry SPV I, a debt-buying company on behalf of Citibank, $5,054.32 for an unpaid credit card bill in September 2018.
Post-judgment costs and interest have been added to the total amount.
This isn’t the first time this year the Los Angeles County Sheriff has been ordered to seize a judgment from the BH90210 actress.
American Express Bank sued Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, in January 2016 for failing to pay a credit card bill.
They were ordered to pay back $87,594.55 in October 2016.
The Sheriff or Marshal of Los Angeles County was directed to seize $88,391.25 after she failed to pay up.
In another lawsuit, City National Bank sued the couple for failing to pay back a $400,000 loan from 2010.
They were ordered to pay a judgment of $202,066 in May 2017.
A bench warrant was issued after she failed to appear in court.
The warrant was dissolved in April.
The mother-of-five also still owes over a million dollars in federal and state taxes.
The actress’ career has struggled in recent years.
The BH90210 reboot, which earned her $85,000 per episode, was canceled after only one season.
She reportedly begged for a role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but later denied the rumor.
On the December 30 episode of Dean’s podcast, Daddy Issues, he revealed that Tori warned him about her financial troubles before they married in 2006.
The 53-year-old said: “Tori even told me at the time: ‘You know I have no money.’ I was like, ‘Why would you say that?’ I was perplexed by that.”
Dean, who shares son Jack, 21, with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace, continued: “I completely forgot her dad was Aaron Spelling, this big producer.
“I was just so thrilled to be working with Tori and then we met, and we instantly fell in love.”
