MEGHAN Trainor has promised tears and tantrums in her first series as a mentor on The Voice UK.
The 26-year-old singer also admitted to "hating herself" when she doesn't turn for contestants as she opened up about her experience on the show.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Meghan shared: "It’s always been a dream of mine to be on a show like this so I felt like a kid at Christmas.
"I knew it would be a fun time and a lot of hours and I’d fall in love with these people but I didn’t realise it would be this fun, like last week I left and I teared up as I was leaving."
But her dream gig isn't without its down sides, with the star going on to add: "It’s horrible in the moment to not press a button and to hear the crowds disappointment and to hear them walk off, like we can hear footsteps.
"But we don't hear the stories, so watching it back with the stories we are just kicking ourselves more, it’s like: 'Oh, I hate myself'."
And that's not the only time that the series gets emotional, with Meghan revealing that all of the judges but Sir Tom Jones have a good sob.
She told us: "I cry once, Olly cries - Olly's got a good cry coming up.
"All of us cry except for Tom, all of us cry at one point - even Will."
Elsewhere, Tom revealed that he had a say on whether or not Meghan was chosen for the job.
The 79-year-old star has been a mentor on the ITV show since its first season, and has admitted to having an influence over the rest of the line-up.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Tom said of Meghan's signing: "They just asked me.
"They said: 'We are thinking of Meghan Trainor', and then I checked that out.
"Because she was on a talent show in the states."

Clearly confused, Olly Murs interrupted: "Hang on a minute, when they said: 'We're going to have Olly Murs on the show', did they come to you first?"
Tom joked back: "I said: 'Who?'"
He continued: "But yeah really, ever since I have been on the show they have asked - but I won't tell you the ones that I said no to."
