Kate Ferdinand reveals secret to her tiny waist is only eating ONE sandwich a year

KATE Ferdinand has revealed how she keeps her tiny waist – and it’s not good news for anyone who enjoys a packed lunch.

The former Towie star – who has a new fitness book out – says she only eats ONE sandwich a year, as a ‘festive treat’.

“One thing I rarely eat is sandwiches … I never feel like there's any goodness in them,” she writes.

“The only ones I do have sometimes are the Christmas sandwiches with turkey, stuffing and cranberry. I may have one, once a year as a festive treat, but that's my lot.”

Kate – who married former footballer Rio in September this year – also avoids temptation by chucking out any leftover food from her stepchildren’s plates.

“Leftovers are tempting. I'd used to have my dinner and then mindlessly pick at whatever the kids had left as well...

“Now if the kids leave food on their plates, I'll put anything salvageable straight in the fridge then I'll throw the rest away immediately so I'm not tempted to pick.”

And although it could be argued that Kate’s top fitness trip is having a personal trainer come to her house daily, she also hides chocolate in a cupboard too high for her and children Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, 8, to avoid snacking on it.

“There are often naughty snacks in the house for the kids but I keep them in a high cupboard out of reach of both the kids and me...

“If I have a sweet craving, I've got to get out a pair of mini steps and climb up to get them down. As soon as I go to get the steps I think "Why am I doing this?" and it stops me.”
