Axed Emmerdale star Asan N’Jie removes soap from his CV after he was sacked for knife threat
AXED Emmerdale star Asan N’Jie has turned his back on the show that made him a household name – and airbrushed the soap from his CV.
The executives fired the talented young actor after he threatened to knife Hollyoaks legend Jamie Lomas at an awards bash.
The rising star had been tipped for big things after being cast in the ITV soap a year ago and had been nominated for a going as best newcomer.
But now his year in the show has been deleted from his biographies.
He’s on the books of heavyweight agents Independent Talent – a firm that handles big stars like Sean Bean – to resurrect his career.
But his details listed on the firm’s site make no mention of his work in Emmerdale - the biggest role in his career.
Instead, the bio says his TV credits are just bit parts in crime drama Vera in 2017, appearing in 2015 show Mount Pleasant and a role in Waterloo Road in 2011.
also has film credits for appearing as a waiter in Murder on the Orient Express in 2017 and for a role in the 2018 flick Ready Player One.
He also lists several theatre parts including appearing in two Shakespeare plays and Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s Fan.
The 25-year-old insisted he has learnt and grown from the row
The CV lists his skills as being able to command a range of accents from broad Yorkshire and Cockney to African American and Southern US drawl.
And industry bible the Independent Movie Database also makes no mention of his time on the Leeds-based soap.
Asan joined Emmerdale last year and was nominated in the Best Soap Newcomer category at the TV Choice Awards.
But he was videoed clashing with Jamie at the ceremony.

Producers were left fuming when news of the bust-up broke, with a clip showing Asan screaming: “Do you think you are a f***ing big man? I’m going to f***ing kill you” at 44-year-old Jamie.
He also threatened to knife Jamie - after his character had been at the centre of a storyline about knife crime which made soap bosses even more sensitive about his row.
The argument was said to have been sparked over a money row involving a pal of Asan’s who had quit a Manchester-based stage school run by Jamie.
The Sun has contacted Asan's rep for comment.
