Star Wars’ John Boyega trolls fans by ‘leaking’ Rise Of Skywalker opening scene on Instagram

STAR Wars' John Boyega has had the last laugh when he tricked fans into thinking that he was "leaking" the opening scene to Rise of Skywalker.

The hotly anticipated film was released today, and to celebrate this the Brit actor, 27, who plays Finn, trolled fans with a spoof clip of the famous opening  titles.

Taking to Instagram, John posted a video with the caption: "Exclusive sneak peek at #TheRiseOfSkywalker opening crawl!"

The iconic Star Wars titles then begin to roll, before slowing down to hip-hop song VIBEZ by rapper DaBaby.

John then emerged and starting to dance along.

As the titles to continue to roll it read: "Just Kidding. This isn’t the real scroll. This is just some text we made up. We are doing this to make Hot Content, and this content is HOT."

Fans were loving this gaffe with one writing: "This is genius!"

This one was loving it: "This is why Finn is the best character in all Star Wars history."

While another said: "I actually thought this was legit!";

Another wasn't so happy saying: That was not funny John."

This latest Star Wars film is directed by The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams.
