But after a cruel follower appeared to mock the loss of the newborn on Instagram, Kym had no other option but to hit back.

The vicious troll commented: "Stop acting like your nice and kind and sweet and a sweetie Kym your nothing to Corrie and me go to heaven like you s*** of a son."

Alongside a screenshot, Kym wrote: "This person @charley_webb_biggestfan has since deleted this comment that was very cruelly left on one of my Instagram posts this morning.

"I’m sorry, I don’t really care what people say about me, people are allowed an opinion, that’s none of my business, but to say such cruel things. I’m in tears reading this today. Something has to be done about this!"

Charley is the sister of Kym's former husband Jamie.

She wrote: "Thanks for all your support today guys, It's much needed.

"There are some people messaging @miss_charleywebb thinking it's her that's made the comments. It's not her it's someone claiming to be her fan!

"Charley is my son's aunty and is disgusted by it. And is supporting me xx."

Kym - who also mum to older children Emily and David and Polly, six, whom she shares with ex Jamie - previously told The Sun On Sunday how she was devastated by Archie's death.

She said: “After Archie died I was utterly lost.

"I never got to the point of thinking about taking my own life, but I don’t know how I might have felt if I hadn’t had two young children and a good support network around me."

The star added: “When I lost Archie, all I could think was, ‘Why has this happened to me?’

"I had carried a baby for nearly six months and yet what did I have? What was the point in it all?

“Archie wasn’t even weighed, I don’t know why, and he didn’t have a birth certificate. All I had was a leaflet they gave me when I left hospital."

The actress previously relived the heartbreaking loss on the ITV soap.

In 2016, her character Michelle Connor miscarried her tot Ruairi at 23 weeks.

Kym said: “I thought long and hard before agreeing to take on the challenge of this storyline. It is a cause very close to my heart having lost my beautiful Archie.

“I have had to go to some very dark places in my mind while filming these heartbreaking scenes, but my family, friends and colleagues have been incredible. Losing a child is something that never leaves you so to revisit those feelings has been challenging.

“Coronation Street ensured that I had a counsellor on set at all times, but for me the best tonic after a hugely emotional day was to go home to my kids and be reminded of how lucky I am to have them.”
