The 10 most explosive Real Housewives divorces amid Teresa and Joe Giudice’s split
REALITY TV seems to put a curse on most couples who decide to make their relationship public and welcome the cameras into their home.
Fans have seen some of the most sturdy celeb relationships crumble right before their eyes, and the Real Housewives franchise is no exception to the rule.
Most recently, pair Teresa and Joe Giudice announced they were separating after 20 years of marriage amid the father of four's deportation nightmare.
Here's a closer look at the nastiest Real Housewives splits.
Teresa and Joe Giudice, The Real Housewives of New Jersey
Teresa and Joe are splitting after Joe requested to be deported to his native Italy amid his appeal in federal court.
The couple was physically separated for years, as Teresa served a prison sentence on fraud charges in 2015, and Joe was locked up from 2016 until March 2019, when he was transferred to immigration custody.
The two have four daughters together: 18-year-old Gia, 15-year-old Gabriella, 14-year-old Milania and 10-year-old Audriana.
A source told The Sun Online that the couple is on good terms, despite Teresa's cheating scandal earlier this year.
Now, Joe is moving on with a brand new start in Italy.
Gina and Matt Kirschenheiter, The Real Housewives of Orange County
Gina Kirschenheither and her husband of seven years, Matt, called it quits in 2018 after she claimed he had an affair.
The mom of three called off her divorce a year after filing to keep her family together, but the reconciliation was called off when Matt was arrested for alleged domestic violence against Gina in June 2019.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the case remains ongoing.
Gina has moved on with a new man, Travis.
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy, The Real Housewives of New York City
Bethenny Frankel introduced Jason Hoppy to the Real Housewives in 2010.
Soon after, the star was pregnant with their first child, Bryn, and walking down the aisle.
Unfortunately, their happy-ever-after was short-lived when they separated in 2012 and filed for divorce.
The pair's divorce is still not finalized, and they continue to fight over money issues and custody of their daughter in New York court.
Ramona and Mario Singer, The Real Housewives of New York City
One of the most shocking divorces in the show was that of Ramona and Mario Singer.
The couple, who had been married for over 20 years, first separated in 2014 amid claims that he was having an affair.
Although they tried to make it work several times, Ramona finally filed for divorce when she found out that he was still in contact with his mistress.
The two share a daughter, Avery, who currently works in finance.
Shannon and David Beador, The Real Housewives of Orange County
Shannon and David Beador tried to make their marriage work after he admitted to having an affair, but it ended in divorce in 2017.
After fighting over money issues, the divorce was finalized in April 2019.
Fans of the show caught a glimpse of their toxic relationship for several seasons, as the couple bickered and eventually fought over his cheating confession.
The now-divorced couple share three daughters, but are not on good terms.
Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Adrienne Maloof and her Botched surgeon ex-husband Paul Nassif filed for divorce during the third season of the show following 10 years of marriage.
Though they appeared to get along onscreen, the 2012 split was initially nasty.
However, seven years later, they now share three sons co-parent successfully.
Vicki and Don Gunvalson, The Real Housewives of Orange County
Viewers of the show thought Vicki Gunvalson and her second husband Don would be together forever after they renewed their wedding vows during season 5.
However, the couple filed for divorce after the renewal aired following 17 years together.
Don admitted that he was taken by surprise when Vicki filed for divorce.
She is now engaged to former cop Steve Lodge.
Tamra Judge and Simon Barney, The Real Housewives of Orange County
Outspoken Tamra Judge didn't hold back when she told her then-husband Simon Barney she wanted a divorce and that he was a "nasty, vile person" on their way to a party during season 5.
He filed for divorce in January 2010 and accused her of "being verbally abusive and committing acts of disloyalty and adultery,” according to court documents obtained by Radar Online at the time.
Their custody battle over their children went on for years, though they appear to have called a truce in recent months.
Tamra is now married to gym owner Eddie Judge.
Camille and Kelsey Grammer, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Just one season after Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered, Camille and Kelsey Grammer called it quits after 13 years of marriage.
Kelsey was accused of having an affair with a flight attendant, whom he later married.
The bad blood went on for years, as Kelsey recently accused Camille of telling him she wanted a divorce at his mother's funeral.
Camille, who denied his new claims, is now married to businessman David Meyer.
Meghan and Jim Edmonds, The Real Housewives of Orange County
Yolanda Hadid and David Foster, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Former model Yolanda Hadid and music producer David Foster finalized their divorce in October 2017 after filing almost two years prior.
The two got married in 2011 after dating for 5 years.
The couple didn't have any children together but David was a stepdad to Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid.
Yolanda was previously married to real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid, and David quickly moved on to the much-younger Katharine McPhee.
