Stormzy and ex Maya Jama texting again after he publicly apologised to her for cheating in new song Lessons
STORMZY has made peace with ex-girlfriend Maya Jama after apologising for cheating on her in his new record.
The grime superstar, who released album Heavy Is The Head this week, owned up to betraying radio host Maya in new track Lessons.
And it seems the public apology has helped him to end their toxic rift over the cheating — as he has revealed the pair are growing friendly again.
My sources say Stormzy has been exchanging text messages with Maya after he got in touch in a bid to build bridges.
And they hinted reconciliation could now be on the cards for the former couple.
One told me: “Stormzy has been texting Maya.
“He knew that he would bring their relationship centre stage again by releasing a track about it, and he felt it was right to reach out.
“Maya was obviously devastated that he had cheated on her, but the fact he has been so open about it has worked in his favour.
“Now they are getting on well again, and their close friends are hoping they might give their relationship another chance.”
The pair dated for four years but split in August this year amid a flurry of speculation that Stormzy — real name Michael Omari — had cheated.
Just days after the pair broke up he was pictured cosying up to singer/songwriter Jorja Smith during a night out at London’s The Box nightclub.
Amid a campaign of whispers, representatives for both Stormzy and Jorja were forced to deny that they had started seeing each other behind Maya’s back.
But addressing their split in Lessons, Stormzy admits that he DID cheat during their relationship.
On the track he raps that he had “done the dirt” before going on to say: “Fast forward now and my nephew is still asking for his Aun- tie Maya.
“Guess this is the karma for what I done to Maya . . . Greatest love I ever knew, I poured it down the drain.”
Later lyrics reveal the pair were even considering having a baby, with him saying: “You cannot imagine how I’m sorry, man, I’m showing you.
“Now I haven’t even got the luxury of knowing you. We was even meant to share a seed and let it grow in you.”
Speaking about the track last week, the grime MC said: “It was a hot topic and I’m going on record now and I’m apologising.
“It was a public disrespect. It was a public disrespect that needed a public apology.”
The source went on: “It is crystal clear how much Stormzy regrets how he treated Maya and he knows he doesn’t deserve a second chance.
“But that hasn’t stopped him hoping for one anyway.”

Jungle Cabell Ball
CAMILA Cabello’s new album might be titled Romance but she was more Fifty Shades Of Grey at the Jingle Bell Ball this weekend.
The pop beauty wowed in this dominatrix-style black corset and trousers with pearl detailing as she performed at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
And Camila – who is dating Canadian singer Shawn Mendes – looked like she enjoyed every minute of the show.
The night also saw Taylor Swift mark her 30th birthday on stage, while Niall Horan and Lizzo, dressed as a sexy Santa, also performed.
Now, where do I get a white, fur lined, red jumpsuit?
Ronan's TV show bid
RONAN Keating has teamed up with Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson and Chic’s Nile Rodgers in a bid to launch a new reality music TV show.
Ronan – who sold more than 25million records over 26 years with Boyzone – is now working on solo music for release next year.
He also hosts the Magic FM breakfast show with Harriet Scott, and revealed this week: “I worked with Jesy not long ago on a pilot for a new reality singing, performing show, but with another spin on it.
“It was the two of us and Nile on a judging panel, and it was very, very cool.
“You never know if things will be commissioned, we’ll see.” Ronan – who performed with Boyzone for the last time in October – is releasing a single in February and an album in March.
He revealed the single will feature Emeli Sande, and hinted of plenty more “unexpected” collaborations to come.
And as if he didn’t have enough on his plate, his wife Storm is due to give birth to his fifth child around the time the single drops.
Ronan continued: “We know what we’re having but we are keeping it under our hats.” Co-host Harriet said: “I keep trying to trap him into giving it away.”
Magic is playing 100 per cent Christmas songs until December 27 and Ronan and Harriet urged listeners to back their Mission Christmas appeal with charity Cash For Kids by buying a toy to donate to poverty-stricken children.
Harriet said: “There are families who have nothing.” More info at .
Alicia's set for UK tour
ALICIA Keys is poised to announce a massive European and UK arena tour to accompany her seventh studio album A.L.I.C.I.A, I can reveal.
The 15-time Grammy superstar has not performed in the UK since her hit Set The World On Fire tour electrified audiences in 2013.
But in news that will delight fans, I hear she is keen to return next year.
And while plans are not yet in place, her team are in the process of making all the arrangements.
My source said this week: “Alicia is hoping to come back to Europe and the UK next year, and wheels are in motion to make that a reality.
“She will be keen to make sure the shows are worth the wait, so when the time comes tickets are sure to be like gold dust.
“Given Alicia has performed with so many incredible artists, fans will also have their fingers crossed for some very special guest performances.”
Alicia’s impressive list of former collaborators includes Pharrell Williams, Drake, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Lenny Kravitz and Jay Z.
So I very much doubt she’ll have trouble finding surprise guests if she wants them.
I’ll be begging, borrowing or stealing a ticket no matter who she has on board.
Miranda's smart
TV star Miranda Hart is flogging her own autograph online to make money in the run-up to the festive season.
The comedienne – who wrote and starred in telly series Miranda – is earning extra cash by charging £45 for a framed print marked with her signature on a personal online shop.
She is also selling a series of other products – such as water bottles and bars of soap emblazoned with her famous catchphrases including: “Such fun!”
So if you’d like to treat your loved ones to a fridge magnet reading: “No savoury muffins allowed” this Christmas, you know where to go.
LooKim like Christmas?
WHEN I imagine a Kardashian Christmas card, I think posed and stylish with matchy-matchy outfits.
So this year’s festive snap from Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and their brood – North, six, Saint, four, 11-month-old Chicago and seven-month-old Psalm – with not a tree or Santa hat in sight, came as no surprise.
With the clan all dressed in grey tracksuits against a neutral background, the Kardashian-Wests look more like models from an Ikea catalogue than a family at Christmas.
Still, I suppose those baggy trousers will come in handy for chilling out in front of the telly after the big dinner.
Sam Vins the night
SAM Smith made the most of a night out with Thom Evans and Nicole Scherzinger – cosying up to drag queen Vinegar Strokes.
Vinegar, who has had West End success in the play Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, revealed how the pair got stuck into some raunchy dancing at the Freedom bar in London’s Soho.
She didn’t recognise the superstar singer at first but described the encounter as, “very camp”.
She tells her story on the United Queedom podcast, out on December 23.
Yesterday sources claimed Nicole “sniffed poppers” while partying with Thom and Sam at the gay bar.
Sounds like a pretty eventful night.
Harry's in fine form
HARRY Styles was well and truly in the pink as he celebrated the release of his new album with a sold-out show at The Forum in Los Angeles.
The former One Direction singer was in this flamboyant fuchsia shirt and white trousers to treat fans to a full playback of Fine Line.
During the gig Harry was joined by Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks for a duet of her track Landslide.
This week Harry insisted he wasn’t dressing “to try to be more interesting”.
He said: “I want things to look a certain way. Not because it makes me look gay, or straight, or bisexual, but because it looks cool. And more than that, I think sexuality is fun.”
His gig won rave reviews, so things are certainly looking rosy for him.
Leona's final countdown
LEONA Lewis’s last X Factor final turned out pretty well for her, so it’s no surprise she is excited ahead of her second tonight.
The 2006 winner is joining Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger on the panel for the final of X Factor:
The Band after guest judging in auditions.
She said: “In auditions there were some artists that stood out solo but we had to question whether they work well in a band.

“It’s like a tapestry, it must have the beautiful unique parts, but it also has to work together.
“But Simon was part of putting together Five and One Direction. He has a tried-and-tested track record.”
If you are surprised Five have been mentioned in a sentence before One Direction, I was too.
Caught out
- ROB Brydon won’t be getting an invite to Buckingham Palace any time soon. He joked to an audience at Bafta Cymru: “Prince William was melt in your mouth. Then the gene pool kicked in and it was all over.”
- SELENA Gomez, Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant are names not often heard in the same sentence, but they all turned up at the same place at the same time for radio interviews on Wednesday.
- THE romance between rocker Yungblud and Anais Gallagher seems to be cooling. A source told me: “He’s so busy that they aren’t seeing much of each other.”
- LOUISE Thompson is set to return to E4’s Made In Chelsea on Monday, December 23, as part of the Christmas special Buenos Aires mini series. Expect plenty of drama.
- FRANK Skinner trended on Twitter after appearing on The Royal Variety Show with his shirt untucked. He told Absolute Radio: “Someone should have told me!”
