Britney Spears ‘to launch court battle for more custody time with sons’ after ex Kevin Federline was awarded 70-30 split

BRITNEY Spears is reportedly gearing up to go to court to argue for more time with her children.

, 38, wants a more equal amount of time with her sons, Sean Preston, 14, and Jayden, 13, whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, 41, according to .

The pop star will spend Christmas Eve with her boys before they head to their dad's on Christmas Day, a source told the magazine.

Apart from "everyday co-parenting stuff", Brit and Kevin "do not have much of a relationship" and "don't do very much as a family," another source revealed earlier this month.

Her custody arrangement was curtailed from 50-50 to 30-70 in September amid reports that her father Jamie allegedly got into a physical altercation with Sean Preston.

Sean got into an argument with his grandfather in August and reportedly "locked himself in a room" because he felt unsafe.

Kevin filed a restraining order against Brit's dad in September, but police said no child abuse charges would be filed.

Britney and Jamie "are barely on speaking terms" since the alleged fight because her father's actions led to reduced custody time with her children, the source claimed.

Brit's reps didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from The Sun.

The Toxic singer is scheduled to appear in court for a status hearing on January 22 to deal with her conservator status.

Jamie, who has managed his daughter's personal and financial decisions since 2008, temporarily stepped down from the conservator role in September due to medical issues.

Brit's current case manager, Jodi Montgomery, has taken over conservatorship until next month's hearing.

In April, the Grammy Award-winning singer checked herself into a treatment facility for 30 days to care for her mental health.

Since then, she's been focusing on herself by doing yoga with her boyfriend Sam Asghari, 25, and consistently hitting the gym.

The ...Baby One More Time songstress celebrated her 38th birthday bowling and ice skating with Sam on December 2 in Miami.
