Coronation Street’s Julia Goulding gives birth to baby son Franklin Wolf Silver after going into early labour

JULIA Goulding has welcomed a baby boy after going into early labour.

The Coronation Street actress - who plays Shona Platt in the ITV soap - revealed she had given birth to Franklin Wolf Silver in November in a touching Instagram post showing a picture of her with husband Ben Silver.

Julia announced she had given birth on Instagram

She captioned the picture: "Thank you to the lovely couple in the park who took this picture for us.

"Taken as I was in early labour on my due date. The next day Ben and I welcomed our baby son into the world.

"Franklin Wolf Silver born on 30/11/19. He's changed our lives for the better in every way. I feel like I've known him my whole life."

Julia's friends, family and co-stars flocked to congratulate her on the happy arrival.

Crew have been filming heart-wrenching hospital scenes, with hubby David Platt, played by Jack P Shepherd, distraught.

A telly source said: "It’s an exciting storyline, with tensions running sky-high.

"There is always a battle between Corrie and rival BBC1 soap to see who can have the most extreme Christmas day episode and ITV producers have pulled out all the stops to bring in the most viewing figures.
