Inside newlywed’s Kate and Rio Ferdinand’s festive dinner party with lobster, lots of booze and mirrored menus
NEWLYWEDS Kate and Rio Ferdinand enjoyed a festive dinner with pals on Saturday night, serving lobster, plenty of booze and a dash of Christmas cheer.
Kate, 28, told her fans on Instagram that the married couple had hosted a "fabulous evening" as she posed for a selfie with Rio, 41.
Kate's husband couldn't stop smiling in the photo that was taken near their snowy Christmas tree.
The ex-Towie star also shared updates on her Instagram story, with the pair nailing one of their very first parties as husband and wife.
Kate told fans that she'd had "the best evening" as she left them green with envy, showing off her "dinner table of dreams".
There were silver table settings engraved with guests' names, green garlands, gold baubles. pink flowers and even menus engraved onto silver mirrors.
Kate got hitched to Rio in September in front of 180 close friends and family on the sun-drenched shores of Marmaris, Turkey.
Since then she's celebrated the release of her new book Fitter, Happier, Healthier and shared a snap of Rio reading it by the Christmas tree last week.
Kate has been sharing glimpses of married life with Rio, and recently made fans laugh when she posted a snap of him photobombing her in their home.
The beautiful blonde was feeling festive wearing knee-high boots and a black cut-out dress as she stood next to the stair banister.
She captioned the snap: "When your trying to get a cute pik ......"
The stairs in the Ferdinand household are draped in sparkly baubles and flowers as they look ahead to Christmas.
However, the Christmas tree and decorations have actually been up since the first week of November, as Kate admitted she was "feeling festive already".
Kate is step-mum to Rio's three children Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, eight, who are all looking forward to spending Christmas together as a family.

She opened up to fans recently that an injury has meant she faces four weeks being unable to workout in the gym.
Admitting she uses it to battle her anxiety, Kate promised to spend time focusing on other things that make her happy.
She said: "The next few weeks I am really going to focus on being healthy, happy & not to hard on myself!! Time to look after me, to try and keep my mind in check and do small things that make me feel good!"
