Strictly’s Kelvin Fletcher overdoes the fake tan ahead of crunch quarter-final tonight
KELVIN Fletcher looked like he'd overdone the fake tan as he left the Strictly Come Dancing studios last night ahead of tonight's crunch quarter-finals.
The 35-year-old actor appeared to have swapped the bronzer for creosote as he left spin-off show It Takes Two on Friday.
Fans compared the star to one of Willy Wonka's Oompa Loompas, with one gasping: "He has been Tangoed."
Another joked that Kelvin had "headbutted a tin of Ronseal".
A third was more sympathetic, explaining: "Anyone who has had a spray tan knows it gets worse before it gets better. Once he has a shower the oompah vibes will be gone!"
The star has fully embraced the spirit of Strictly Come Dancing, where contestants have to submit to regular fake tanning sessions.
However, it looked like he had taken things a little too far as he was photographed in a blue jacket and jeans, clutching a Zara bag.
He will dance an American Smooth with 29-year-old Oti Mabuse in tonight's musicals special, to the song Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.
The pair remain far-away favourites to win Strictly Come Dancing, with Karim Zeroual their closest opposition, according to bookies.
Odds checkers reckon Chris Ramsay will the next celebrity to be axed, following YouTube star Saffron Barker out of the door.
Last night, Kelvin and Oti were snapped hugging after leaving rehearsals - with the star working so hard he even missed his wedding anniversary.
He said was "gutted" he couldn't spend Thursday with his wife Liz Marsland, staying the night in London to attend dance rehearsals.
Kelvin has admitted he's missed spending time with his family, including baby daughter Marnie, when he appeared on This Morning on Thursday.
He told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning: "I think that's been the hardest thing to accept really is being away from home."
