Bankrupt Katie Price forced to pay ex Alex Reid £150k in legal fees over revenge porn claims
BANKRUPT Katie Price has been ordered to pay £150,000 in legal costs to ex-husband Alex Reid after allegedly sharing sex tape footage of him with a TV studio audience.
The former glamour model was not represented in court this afternoon as the order was made just a day after she was declared bankrupt.
Katie Price, 41, was also given a five-year injunction banning her from sharing private material from their short-lived relationship.
It is understood Mr Reid will now join a line of creditors looking to be paid a portion of the money they are owed after Price's bankruptcy.
Making the order, Queen's Bench Master Richard Davison said: "Plainly the affect of the defendant's bankruptcy is that you can't enforce this in the normal way."
Ex-cage fighter Mr Reid, 43, claimed the former glamour model showed footage of him to a studio audience of 40 people off camera while on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side last January
Price - who was not in court today - had previously argued it was a video she had downloaded from YouTube.
She married Reid at a ceremony in Las Vegas in 2010 and they divorced the following year.

In May 2018, Mr Justice Jay had granted a temporary injunction against Price after finding there was a "very real risk" the Loose Women star would share the footage further.
Price told an earlier hearing she didn't have any sexual material featuring Reid. She claimed it had been stored on a personal computer before it was stolen several years ago.
Mr Justice Jay said he was "frankly not impressed" by her evidence.
The case had been set for trial in March next year.
But Patrick Harrington QC, representing Reid, told the court Price had "stopped engaging" with lawyers several months ago.
She may be ordered to pay damages and further legal costs when the case returns to the High Court on March 9.
It comes after Price, who was once worth an estimated £45m, was declared bankrupt yesterday.
The 41-year-old was supposed to be paying off £12,000 a month to her creditors after taking out an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) 12 months ago - but has failed to do so.
Now, Katie faces losing her £2 million “mucky mansion” in Dial Post, West Sussex and having her assets taken and sold by an appointed trustee to pay her debts.
She had avoided going bust last December by agreeing a plan to pay back what she owed.
Katie was allowed to enter into the IVA, the deal to pay back some of her debts, when she agreed to pay the £12,000 a month over the course of four years.
She is believed owe around £800,000 in total.
'MUCKY MANSION' UNDER THREAT
However she was yesterday declared bankrupt following a hearing at the Rolls Building in London after failing the maintain payments.
It was revealed today that Price had split with her current boyfriend Kris Boyson after going bankrupt.
Friends said she was now looking for somewhere to rent - fearful she would be homeless for Christmas.
But just this week, she ranted on a train that she was not bothered by her bankruptcy.
She told commuters on Monday evening: “Tomorrow, I’m being declared bankrupt. Even though I’m not bothered.
“I’ve known it’s coming, going bankrupt, because I took him (Andre) to court. He’s the worst person ever.”
She bizarrely even thanked Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein — in the belief the royal scandal was keeping her out of the news.

Despite her money issues, Katie has continued to live the high life including enjoying a series of luxury holidays, a full body overhaul with surgery and renovations on her mansion.
Last week, Katie’s pink Range Rover was spotted on sale at a used car dealership in Essex with the sign “repo” - short for repossession - on the windscreen.
The thrice-married mum-of five split from most recent husband Kieran Hayler last year.
