Halsey’s extreme bleached eyebrows look at the AMA’s shocks the internet
At last night’s American Music Awards Halsey sported bleach-blonde eyebrows so light, she didn’t appear to have any at all.
The singer/songwriter took home her first American Music Award for ‘Favorite Song’ in the pop/rock category for ‘Without Me.’
But eagle-eyed fans seemed to be more focused on what appeared to be missing from Halsey’s face.
They took to social media commenting on the look.
One tweeted: “I love Halsey but why does it look like she has no eyebrows tonight.”
Another echoed: “Does Halsey not have eyebrows?”
Others just questioned: “Did Halsey seriously shave her eyebrows? Bold decision, very bold decision.”
WARDROBE CHANGE
She accented the blonde brows with bright blue and pink rainbow eye makeup, which matched her multicolored red carpet dress.
Last night’s ensemble was dramatically different from her recent appearance at the Country Music Awards.
For that show, she evoked old-Hollywood glamour in a black floral gown and a short copper-colored bob.

Halsey did a wardrobe change for the American Music Awards ceremony wearing a slinky cream gown with black-sequined flowers.
It was in this outfit that she took home her first AMA.
In her acceptance speech she referenced being shut out for the 2020 Grammy Award nominations.
Halsey said: “I grew up watching shows like this and I would sit at home wide-eyed and watch artists in these beautiful gowns and handsome suits, like, stroll up the stairs to the stage and they would hold up these awards and they were usually gold-plated and shiny and weighted, these, like, metaphors, these trophies that were supposed to be some kind of validation for the soul-crushing and heartache-inducing work that they put into writing a song and bringing it to life.”
She went on to say that not every industry award has the same meaning for her as it once did.
But she’s thrilled to have won an AMA because fans vote for the winners.
