Kym Marsh lands first movie role after quitting Coronation Street
KYM Marsh has landed her first movie role since quitting Coronation Street.
The actress - who plays Michelle Connor in the ITV soap - will star in the upcoming movie The Loss Adjuster alongside Dame Joan Collins.
She will play one of the lead roles in the comedy that will be screened in Cannes next year.
The movie is scheduled for release next Christmas and will also star Martin Kemp and Luke Goss.
Kym has already filmed her final scenes as Michelle Connor and will soon be seen scamming cheating husband to be Robert Preston out of his business as revenge for his lies.
The Sun Online exclusively revealed how Michelle will trick him into signing over the Bistro to her before humiliating him at their wedding.
A source said: "Michelle tricks him into signing over the Bistro to her and he has no idea what she’s planning.
"As the wedding approaches Michelle decides to publicly reveal Robert’s infidelity and jilt him at the altar."
The Sun exclusively revealed Michelle had quit the soap last year but Kym promised to make a return at some point in the future
A TV insider explained: "Kym has loved her time on Corrie and has lifelong friends on set, but she is ready for a new challenge.

"She loves the role of Michelle and she told bosses she hoped they would agree to keep the door open in the future. They have done — so everyone is leaving on great terms.
"The writers will want the character to go out with a bang."
And Kym added: "This isn’t the last you’ve heard of Michelle Connor, she’ll be back! I can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for the future."
