Gladiators star Ace opens up on his engagement to Katie Price and reveals he’s now a ‘disciple of Jesus Christ’
GLADIATORS star Ace has opened up about his former engagement to Katie Price and revealed he’s now a “disciple of Jesus”.
The 47-year-old, whose real name is Warren Furman, dated the former glamour model at the height of their fame and they were engaged from 2007 to 2009 before they split.

Speaking about their romance on today’s This Morning, Ace said: “We were very similar people, we grew up with similar backgrounds, we both took our clothes off for a living.
“We were selling stories. I was Ace in Gladiators and I thought I was something special.”
When Gladiators came to an end Ace’s life completely changed and he found himself working in a building site earning very little money.
Desperate to find more fulfilment in life, he went on a spiritual relationship and started a relationship with Jesus.

He now goes into schools to spread the word of the Lord by using the real story of the Gladiators and how Jesus helped to close the gladiator ring.
Discussing his religious journey, he said: “I went on a spiritual search because I thought celebrity culture would fulfil me but it was actually quite lonely.
“I went on an alpha course – and it was the first time where I been in situation where I could ask the bigger questions before.”
He continued: “Nobody told me the gospel so when I looked at the true gladiator story, it was Jesus’ teaching that closed the Gladiator ring.
“It makes a nice impact that you can tell a factual story about who Jesus Christ is."
