Bradley Walsh hints The Chase will add MORE Chasers in ‘big shake-up’ of ITV show

THE Chase host Bradley Walsh has hinted that a new line-up of 'Chaser' quizzing experts are about to join the ITV quiz show.

The 59-year-old star said the hit was on the brink of an almighty shake-up that may involve more new recruits than the one he's already announced.

Speaking to the , he said: "We’re making more and more shows all the time, so we need to recruit more people all the time.

“So consequently, we have put our feelers out to find other people that will be suitable, and all will be revealed next year.”

Asked if that meant more than a single new Chaser joining the team, he replied: “It could be more than one, who knows. But it’s a proper shake-up.”

The current line-up consists of Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan, Paul 'Sinnerman' Sinha, Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty and Shaun 'Dark Destroyer' Wallace.

Bradley let slip that a new quiz genius would be joining the show during an appearance on Good Morning Britain earlier this month.

The presenter revealed the news after Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway took part in a celebrity episode.

When Piers, 54, asked why the ITV quiz show is so popular, Bradley said: "It's accessible, people love it, it's ten years old now.

"What can you say? We've got a brand new Chaser coming in for another new series now. It's all good."

Bradley refused to say more, however a spokesperson for The Chase confirmed the news when approached by The Sun Online.

They said: "A new Chaser will be revealed in due course."

Meanwhile, it's believed the new brainiac is not replacing anyone and the team will comprise of six Chasers.

The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
