YOU might need to phone a friend — but this is definitely Michael Sheen playing Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host Chris Tarrant.

The Welsh actor, 50, who went blond for his role in the upcoming ITV drama Quiz, recreates Tarrant’s arrival at court to give evidence in a trial of cheat contestants.

In 2001 Charles Ingram won the £1million top prize on the show.

Charles had answered 15 questions correctly to sensationally scoop the jackpot.

But the cheque was taken from him as he left the studio as suspicions began to surface.

Two years later he was convicted of cheating along with wife Diana.

A pal sitting in the audience would cough during the questions to tell Ingram which of the multiple choice answers was correct.

The infamous ‘Coughing Major’ appearance has sensationally gone down in television folklore.

The three-part Quiz — which is set to air next year — also stars Matthew Macfadyen as Ingram alongside Mark Bonnar, Sian Clifford and Helen McCrory.
