BEN Shephard got a Strictly Come Dancing lesson from former professional Joanne Clifton today - after admitting his WIFE doesn't want him to sign up.
The 44-year-old star was urged to take part in the next series of the BBC One dance show by his Good Morning Britain co-hosts Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins who have both appeared in the past.
Ben flat-out refused, eventually confessing his wife Annie had made her feelings clear on the issue.
While Susanna told viewers that she and Charlotte had "tried to persuade him", exasperated Ben interjected: "It's not me you have to persuade. It's my wife!"
Ben has been married to Annie since 2004 and are parents to 14-year-old Jack and Sam, 12.
Later, Strictly siblings Joanne and Kevin Clifton joined the show to chat about their upcoming tour.
Kevin joined the show in 2013 and is still a pro on the series now.
Meanwhile, Joanne signed up in 2014 but left two years later after winning the 2016 series with Ore Oduba.
Speaking about Ben's reluctance to appear on the show, Susanna told Joanne: "We need to persuade Ben Shephard that he should sign up to Strictly.

Joanne then gave the TV presenter a masterclass in the pasodoble, whizzing him around the GMB studio.
Ben scoffed: "That's all there is to it! This lot bang on about it like it's a PHD in physics or something."
