ANT McPartlin and Dec Donnelly fans were left shocked tonight as it was revealed the famous duo are RELATED.

A surprise ending to their documentary DNA Journey explained they share the same S660 DNA marker.

They were told they carry the S660 DNA marker in the final episode of Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey, screened on ITV tonight.

Genealogists found the same gene in a Viking warrior whose skeleton was dug up in Dublin. The I’m A Celebrity pair discovered he had died in 790AD.

The bombshell revelation had a deep impact on the presenting pair, with Ant admitting: “We’re friends, we’ve got that brotherly connection. But it feels even deeper. Doing this show has made us look at each other in a different way. He means the world to me."

Tearful Dec added: "I'm at my happiest and most content when we're toegther. He's like another part of me. It would be like losing a limb if I didn't have him in my life. It's proved again why we're such good friends."
