James Bond’s cheeky sexual innuendos are staying in the next film despite push to make him politically correct
JAMES Bond’s cheeky sexual innuendos will remain in the next film despite moves to make him politically correct.
Producers drafted in Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge to spice up the script — fuelling fears they were trying to make 007 “woke”.
But Daniel Craig’s suave spy still cracks at least one of his trademark gags in new flick No Time To Die. As he struggles to get a seaplane airborne, his passenger shouts: “Get it up! Get it up!”
, Bond replies: “I’ve never had a problem with that before.”
Star Craig, 51, originally wanted Waller-Bridge, 34, involved after describing her as “f***ing great”.
She was then recruited after talks with Bond boss Barbara Broccoli and director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Waller-Bridge said they wanted “tweaks on a few characters and storylines”. It is thought she also ensured the script was appropriate for the #MeToo era.
The phrase “Bond girl” was outlawed on the set of the £200million movie, due in April.
In it, 007 marries Dr Madeleine Swann and retires to Jamaica.
In one scene he calls her “Mrs Bond” but she replies: “Don’t you mean Ms Swann?”
