The country pauses at a particular time.

It is always held on the second Sunday in November every year and this year it falls on November 10.

Strictly has always marked the date with a special dance performed by the professionals.

And on Sunday night, Anton, 53, and his fellow pros will play characters in a group number inspired by World War II heroes and their families.

This year, the dance will take place at a train station and show loved ones saying goodbye to one another - but not knowing whether they will see each another again.

Since Anton became a dad for the first time in March 2017 when wife Hannah Summers welcomed twins George and Henrietta, his character was particularly hard to play.

Anton, who has starred on Strictly since the show began in 2004, was in tears as he spoke about his part at rehearsals, saying: "I'm playing a father.

"It's a bit emotional because I can't imagine leaving my children and not coming back."

For the Sunday edition of Strictly, Strictly will be broadcast between the hours of 7.20pm and 8pm.

Last year, Strictly told the story of the wives waiting at home as their husbands fought in the war through an emotional dance.

At the beginning of the dance to song Rise Up, a young girl - dressed in war-era clothing and pigtails - was seen playing on the stage floor with a paper plane.

A group of the male pros appeared wearing WW1-themed RAF military uniform, before lifting up dancer Amy Dowden.

Shortly after, they were joined by the rest of the female pros, who wore retro tea dresses and their hair in tight curls.

As they danced, the RAF Spitfire Choir sung.
