Heidi Klum’s Halloween costume as Frankenstein is her most gruesome yet as she leads stars at her annual bash

HEIDI Klum's Frankenstein costume was her most gruesome yet as she hosted celebs at her annual Halloween bash.

The supermodel, 46, who's known for her extravagant costumes each year, appeared to bare all in a bizarre body suit outfit.

It is the latest in a long line of startling guises - with previous Halloween costumes including the werewolf from Michael Jackson's Thriller music video and Princess Fiona from the Shrek films.

For this year's zombie-like ensemble, she spent hours having a team of experts transform her into a bizarre Frankenstein's monster-like creature.

Using prosthetics and make-up, she was left with convincing exposed flesh and muscle alongside patches of skin sewn together.

She also had metal spikes pushing out of her spine and her exposed "brain" protected by glass casing.

The German-born swimwear model underwent the hours-long procedure in front of a live audience in New York City.

She then went on to host her star-studded annual Halloween party with her husband, the musician Tom Kaulitz.

The party was attended by a string of celebrities, with Black Panther star Lupita Nyong'o and actor Neil Patrick Harris among the guests.

Earlier, Heidi told People magazine she and Kaulitz would wear matching costumes - after he went as Shrek to her Fiona last year.

She said: "His is gonna be easier because last year I felt so bad for him.
