A Lottie trouble

The Apprentice recap: Lottie’s a ‘nightmare’ to work with as she’s snubbed for project manager, Sian Gabbidon says

THE Apprentice bought back the discount buys challenge this week and it's fair to say the teams had limited success.

I hated this type of challenge when I was on the show as you can be the best business person in the world but if you don't know what something is it can be really difficult.

There wasn't too much drama, but there were candidates who stood out, particularly Scarlett.

I've said all along Scarlett is strong, and she continued to show that in this one.

We have to talk about Ryan-Mark's 'I love your pole' incident. It's so funny with Ryan. I love him, he says some crazy stuff, he's got the humour but he's a pitbull in the board room.

Ultimately, I thought the right person did go this week. For me I didn't see anything in Riyonn, there was never any spark or anything.

Snubbed again

I found Lottie quite difficult to watch in this one. She did a crazy deal where the guy was like 'I'll sell you this for a tenner' then she's like 'what about £12?'. I was like what kind of negotiation is that?

Every week she's done something really silly. I'm not sure why it never gets picked up on, maybe because she's never in the bottom three.

Last week I felt semi sorry for her because she wanted to be PM, and she had the right background but nobody picked her.

But this is the second week that's happened in a row, she's obviously a nightmare to work with. There's a reason why nobody wants to PM her.

I feel she would be hard to work with. I'd have struggled with her.

No filter

I love Ryan. I think he's ace. On a friend level, I'd get on with him really well, but now I'm starting to see there are elements of him that are problematic.

Like when he went into the boardroom and said Jemelin's a good leader, but then when it went down the wrong path he was ripping her apart.

I personally think he will lose brownie points with his own team members by doing that. In my head I was like I always wanted to keep the team on board.

He had no filter almost. He went in hard on Jemelin, and they worked well together for the majority of the day.

Going into next week she will probably have a barrier raised with him.

I like that  he's feisty and he says what he thinks, but to be in there with him I'd probably struggle because I like him outside the boardoom, but he gets nasty in there.

The gamble

But the funny thing about people being loud and getting their point across is that if someone is right with it it can work.

As much as Tom's had a rough couple of weeks, I think Lord Sugar sees something in him and likes him.

With 'the gamble', I think Lord Sugar would have laughed at that. He's got that charisma.

The thing where Lottie said 'business is not a gamble'. I said to myself business is a gamble. I'm so glad Lord Sugar brought that up.

She's got it wrong. Lord Sugar will remember that. She needs to get careful. If that's what she thinks about business maybe she's not very good at it.

Favourite to win?

I think the way Scarlett is looking in the last couple of episodes she'll make the final.

With the book thing she made the right decision. Every week she's growing and showing more of herself.

Scarlett did a good job of keeping Marianne on the straight and narrow. Had Marianne have had her way it could have been completely different.

People like Scarlett are managing to get their point across without being criticised and saying ridiculous things.

I also had Jemelin as well but I don't know now. She cracked a little bit this week. I'm glad it wasn't her who went. I don't think it would have been fair. I'm hoping she manages to brush off this week and start again next week.
