GOOD Morning Britain's Richard Arnold was ordered to "run" after he was caught up in a tornado when visiting pals in America.
The presenter said today that it was "the most terrifying experience you could possibly imagine" as the tornado hit in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday.
Footage aired on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain that showed Richard and his friends running indoors and heading to a safe room in his pal's house to escape the storm.
The showbiz reporter, 49, also shared photos that revealed the devastation to his friend Brian's home after the storm passed.
Describing the experience, he told presenters Susanna Reid and Adil Ray on GMB: "My trip to America wasn't all fun and games. I had a glancing blow with a tornado.
"These are some of the pictures that I took near my friend's house in Preston Hollow.
"It was the most terrifying experience you can possibly imagine. Because you can hear the sound of it coming.
"We were sitting in the kitchen at the kitchen island, and suddenly the phones explode.
"They lit up and the power goes out and outside it's all this green lightening. It's everything that you can imagine and more that we see over the years in footage. And then you hear that sound. Like a freight train."
Richard and his friends took cover in a safe room that was secure because it didn't have glass or mirrors inside.
Filming the chaos, his friend Brian can be heard ordering the group: "Guys, we gotta go, we've got to run" and Richard asks "are you serious?"
The trio run through the corridors of the home and pile into a small cupboard-style room, while his friend calls a neighbour and tells them: "Get inside, take cover, we can hear the tornado outside."
And Richard explained today: "So that was Brian, he was on the phone to his brother. He's a meteorologist. They said 'it's on top of you' it was right there."
The tornado carved a 20-mile trail of destruction as it plowed through the north of the city.

It was the first tornado in the city in 27 years but thankfully no one was hurt.
Richard added about his friends: "They're Kansas boys. So when you see the fear in their eyes, you know that it is real.
"Everyone the next day rallied. The clear up kicked in. They all had pumpkin pie and brunch the next day. It was amazing."
