The singer said he had “tried everything” and once lived with a heroin addict. Mick recalled: “Smoked it. I felt woozy and threw up.”

He said he has also been around cocaine “all my working life”, adding it was “pointless” and “makes you feel like wood”.

The star denied a previous claim he slept with 3,000 women in just three years in the 1980s — and said a report mixed up the figures.

Asked about the real number, he said: “I have no idea. I don’t put chips on the bedposts. I do not treat or talk about women like that.”
