X FACTOR: Celebrity is "in crisis" as Glee's Kevin McHale loses his voice just hours before the first live show.
The 31-year-old singer is said to be desperately trying to recover amid fears that he might be forced to pull out of the competition.
report that producers are concerned about what to do if the US actor isn't fit to perform in tomorrow's show.
However, a source reassured The Sun Online that Kevin is determined to make it onto the stage, sharing: "Kevin remains the true professional and is continuing to power through despite feeling under the weather.
"He has been resting his voice and is all set for the weekend ahead - everyone is really looking forward to hearing his performance."
The insider went on to tease that Kevin will impress viewers with a rendition of Lizzo's Good As Hell, adding: "It’s not only the Try Star boys that are set to get everyone hot under the collar on Saturday night.
"Kevin will take to the stage with a whole dance squad dressed in thigh-high red PVC boots - bringing 'kinky boots' to the X Factor Celebrity stage."
Kevin had vital sinus surgery earlier this year, and is said to have been plagued with problems ever since.
He previously admitted that he was worried about signing up to the ITV show in case his ongoing problem has a negative impact on his singing ability.
He said at the time: "This is the first time I am testing my vocals in a live performance.
"I was really scared to say yes to doing this."
Earlier this evening, Kevin shared a video of himself looking nervous as he uses a steamer - adding an ominous Trick Or Treat Halloween gif to the post.
Singers use vocal steamers to hydrate their voice and keep it healthy ahead of big performances.
